I qualified to practice Art Therapy in 1986, working initially in Adult Mental Health for Kensington & Chelsea Social Services and later offering outreach support to charities in Islington and Westminster. During my later Masters studies in Transpersonal Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy, I discovered the profound world of Sandplay, which has become a core element of my practice. More recently I trained as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, inspired by the work of Peter Levine, bringing the language of the body into play. These differing perspectives have greatly informed my Integrative approach, with clients of every age. As School Project Manager with Place2Be for twelve years, I have been able to support children, their families and school staff in a systemic way, also deepening my experience as a clinical supervisor, both in education and private practice.
At the London Art Therapy Centre I facilitate the training and experiential workshops in Sandplay. This includes the introductory weekends, and a regular group for continued sandplay process. Please do make contact to find out dates and times.
