This workshop will take participants through some of the art therapy processes that can help with work on anger and anger management.
It is modelled on the courses developed by Dr. Marian Liebmann OBE in her work in the Inner City Mental Health Service, Bristol, and has application to anyone wanting to look at their own anger, as well as those working with angry clients.
Exercises will include consideration of what anger is, whether it is good or bad, physical symptoms, what may lie underneath anger and the contribution of relaxation.
NOTE: This workshop is the first day of two separate training days, which are non-sequential. (The 2nd workshop is “Working With Conflict in Art Therapy”)
- Although this is designed as a 2-day weekend workshop, you may prefer to attend just Saturday or Sunday.
- Participants can enrol in one or both days (10% discount for enrolling on both days).
Marian Liebmann has worked in art therapy with offenders, with women’s groups and community groups, and for 19 years in the Inner City Mental Health Team in Bristol, where she developed work on anger issues.
Marion has lectured on art therapy at several universities in the UK and Ireland, and written/edited 14 books, including Art Therapy & Anger and Arts Approaches to Conflict.
In 2013 she was awarded an OBE for services to social justice through art therapy and mediation.
