Environmental Arts Therapy Group | Circle of Trees

The Circle of Trees is an experiential group for adults; trainees & practitioners in the arts; education; social care; psychotherapy and counselling. Running fortnightly, these 2 hour sessions will introduce you to the developing theories and practices emerging from ecology and environmental arts therapy. Designed to inspire you to build a more ecological approach to your personal and professional life, we will introduce you to the themes, symbolism and mythology of trees within the Celtic Calendar; deepening awareness of our connection with nature as the seasons unfold. There will be a focus on nature inspired storytelling, discussion and art-making.

The group runs for each term through the year: you may join for one term of 6 weeks or extend membership for the year.

Co-Facilitators:
Vanessa Jones, Dip. AT, Trained MBCT Mindfulness Teacher has over sixteen years of art therapy experience working mainly in adult mental health. She is a Baat registered private practitioner and has been working outdoors as an art therapist within her private practice and within two NHS Trusts since 2010.
Gary Nash, Dip.AT MA, has over twenty years of art therapy experience working in adult mental health, voluntary sector, learning disabilities services & mainstream education. He is a Baat registered Supervisor and Registered private practitioner.
