- Improve sleep
- Sharpen focus and concentration
- Increase Memory
- Manage anxiety
Autogenic Training is a regulated deep relaxation and mindful approach taught over eight weekly sessions with 10-15 minutes practice required three times a day between sessions. Autogenic, means self-directed, and you will be trained to settle into a deep state of relaxation upon which you can draw time and again. The more you practise, the more profound the benefits. Once learnt, this technique cannot be unlearned and can be used in any situation. After each session you will be emailed a handout reminding you of what you learned in the lesson and what you need to practise. It is not necessary to keep any notes during the sessions.
You will need to wear comfortable clothes and be in a quiet private space with internet and device.
There will be a maximum of 12 places available and we will meet on Zoom for 90 minutes a week for 8 weeks with a follow-up session a month after the last session. Please note, if you have had any experience of severe mental health difficulties, the group work will not be suitable for you though you could still benefit from learning Autogenic Training on an individual basis.
