14 Apr 2024 | In-person Workshop | The Life-Work-Play Balance Workshop – Making Mobiles
You are invited to participate in a dynamic workshop exploring the life-work-play balance. Newton’s Third Law states “for every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.” We generally understand the conflicts between polarities but not always able to calibrate the shifts and flow to find a healthy balance.
Dualism elicits interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts, dichotomies, ambivalences and splits. It also offers the potential for unification and resolution. This balancing act can express itself in conceptual, embodied, relational and creative forms.
This CPD workshop will support you in reflecting on this push and pull with your clients as well as ourselves as therapists. We shall look at various models and beliefs around obligation and duty within different cultures. We shall use art and movement as well as make mobiles to explore our own sense of balance and see how to find our life-work-play balance, in particular when there is often asymmetry.
