Do you find laughing at yourself helpful in overcoming difficulties and resolving problems? Get to know your different sub-personalities and identify which may have become overbearing or too loud for your own good?
When we laugh we relax our muscles, enhance our breathing and raise our ‘feel-good’ chemicals known as endorphins and enkephalins. This can be an ideal psycho-physiological state in which to face some of our issues. In this workshop the aim will be to free yourself from dominating unhelpful sub-personalities by getting you to see the funny side of how they are having an adverse affect on your behaviour.
Developed from the work of Frank Farrelly in the 1970s, this creative CPD workshop will introduce the key concepts and principles underlying the use of humour and reverse psychology for self-improvement. With art-making, pair-work and live demonstrations to show how we can use humour to support ourselves as well as each other, you are likely to leave this workshop feeling energised and motivated to change unhelpful behavioural patterns.
Warning: This workshop is not for the faint-hearted! It is open to anyone who is ready to harness their sense of humour to promote positive changes. Come prepared to be challenged, be playful and grow.
