11 Aug 2018 | Day Workshop | Women in Transition – Journey Within
Are you going through a time of change or are at a crossroads in your life?
Would you like to stand back and explore what’s going on from a different perspective?
Would you like some quality time to connect in with your creativity and intuition?
In this one day art therapy workshop and retreat, you will be taken on a gentle creative journey and bring inner landscapes to life. A combined use of image-making and reflective techniques will help you explore old situations through new eyes and connect with your own inner resources.
Arts media on offer include a range of painting, drawing, textile and natural materials. No experience of the arts is needed to take part, although it’s beneficial if participants have done some prior therapy or personal work previously.
Facilitator:
Pia Jones is an integrative arts psychotherapist and author, with a Diploma and MA from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. Pia is passionate about how the arts can enrich understanding and help support us through the crossings of life. She gave a TEDx talk, The Heroine’s Journey, on how arts can serve as a compass during times of transition, and worked on artgym’s award-winning documentary, The Moving Theatre, using puppetry to bring to life migrant journeys.
