10 Oct 2021 | Online Workshop | Dare we laugh at Ourselves?

Do you find laughing at an aspect of yourself helpful in overcoming difficulties and resolving problems? Do you know your different sub-personalities and have figured which may have become overbearing or too loud for your own good? Most of us know how we can dig our heels in and sabotage our health, work and relationships but we are often too resistant to change.

In their new book Almost Happy: Pushing your buttons with Reverse Psychology (published 12 October 2021) authors, Dr Brian Kaplan and Hephzibah Kaplan invite you to a Book Launch Workshop to introduce you to the ideas behind Almost Happy and have some fun too.

This online workshop will introduce the key concepts and principles underlying the use of humour for self-improvement.  Sharing images from the book, making some art, and with demonstrations of the process, we will show how we use humour to support ourselves as well as each other. We hope this workshop will leave you feeling more energised and motivated to engage with change.

This workshop will be delivered online via Zoom. You will need access to a space to make art, and at least two art materials of your choice.

Facilitator/s:

Dr Brian Kaplan is a medical doctor, psychotherapy supervisor and author. He is passionate about the use of art, as well as humour in therapy.
