07 Feb 2015 • Day Workshop • Working with addictions in Art Therapy
We will use the day to draw together the theoretical strands and reflect on clinical practice through case examples from the field. We will develop an understanding of the psychological models that have been developed in working with addictions and how art therapy has integrated these to form a compelling arts-based approach.
Facilitator/s:
James D. West, MA, is an Art Psychotherapist working in the NHS, Social Services and Private Practitioner.
Gary Nash, MA, has over twenty years of experience working in adult mental health services, dual diagnosis and homelessness in West London. He is a BAAT registered Supervisor and Registered private practitioner with over 10 years experience.
Both facilitators have years of experience to draw on and will use case materials to illustrate the art-based narratives which emerge from the clinical work.
