Art therapy trainees are required to be in personal therapy for the duration of their training. It is important that you are matched with a suitable and experienced therapist. It is important to let us know which training course you are attending and what stage you are at, as the therapist will only see one student per training course from any one year. The cost of art therapy for trainee students is between £55-£65 per session.

If you are seeking an art therapy supervisor we will match you with one of the team who has experience with the same client group you are working with. We also provide ongoing supervision to students on art therapy trainings. On occasion some art therapy students may find themselves on clinical placements without a specialist art therapy supervisor; in this case we can offer off-site independent supervision.

Students may contact us directly for supervision or the placement tutor/manager may initiate contact. Supervision takes place at the London Art Therapy Centre or online. For second and third year students we can offer small group supervision (max 3 students).

Art Therapy students are welcome to attend our courses, events and workshops at reduced student rates.
