A therapeutic group for deepening mindfulness practice and enhancing wellbeing. Through mindfulness practice, inner inquiry, and creative expression you can learn to open up to life with all its challenges and delights and to find new ways to accept and live with them.
The benefits of art therapy and mindfulness include: reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood and self-esteem, more fulfilling personal relationships, deeper insight and ways to develop compassion for yourself and others.
Sessions will include: mindfulness practice, mindful art making, interpersonal practice and group work. (You don’t need prior experience of making art).
The group is facilitated by Nicky Roland. Nicky is a mindfulness teacher and state registered Art Therapist with several years experience of mindfulness practice and art therapy, including working with mental health conditions in the NHS and private practice.
“I enjoyed the day thoroughly. Each activity was very valuable, allowing me to absorb the very essence of art and mindfulness, feeling the value of both. I felt that you provided a very safe space for each of us to be ourselves and show our strengths and vulnerabilities. A very big thank you”. K
